Welcome to the consultation group.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT? We will meet eight times, at different days and times. It will be around 8 weeks, although possibly I’ll give you an extra video to watch or something like that. But we should wrap up in 8 – 10 weeks. You can either post a question / request for consultation or simply listen in and learn from others. If you want to present a case, then go to the page for that week and post a request. We will take the cases in the order you offer them.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO? At the end of the first meeting, you can move to the next week’s page. You will get an email telling you the web address for the next page.
WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE? The first week was going to be Saturday, August 2, but because Scott Miller came on board a bit late to offer to his group, I extended the time a week to give those folks time to evaluate. So now we are going to meet for the first online meeting on the 9th. Is this the best time? I have no idea! Give your opinion on day and time for our subsequent meetings.
Our first meeting, then, with be a teleseminar, that is, where you dial in and listen / participate. It will happen on August 9, Saturday, at 2PM Eastern, 1 PM Central, 12 PM Mountain, and 11 AM Pacific / Arizona Mountain time. If that time is bad, don’t worry, there will be others. I’ll try different days and time, and you can always listen in later.
Dial in on this number: 1-857-232-0300, and enter participant code: 7133901. The cost to you is the same as if you are calling your Uncle in Omaha.
You will also get an email with the phone number and the code to put in.
(You may say you don’t like teleseminars. I will also offer videos or as they call them, webinars. We will try different times and different modalities. All the meetings will be recorded so you can download and review the contents later.
I have a handout I encourage you to study at the beginning of our work together.
Obviously, this is a .doc file. You can always open doc files with Open Office or with Kingston Office Suite. These are FREE office suites that will do everything Microsoft Office will do, so if you don’t have Office, then download one of those. Did I mention they are FREE?
I’d encourage you to read that handout fairly carefully and begin to review cases, especially those you have had some trouble with.
In this group I will encourage you to use some method of tracking (1) clinical response to treatment, and (2) alliance.
Download this file and study it, please: https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/consultation-group/srf-manual.doc
Looking forward to meeting you all.
Please post an introduction at the bottom of the page. Let us get to know each other. I know that some people prefer to hold back and simply listen, and others are eager to present a case. Whoever posts the first request below will be the first to present a case in the group!
Look forward to our meeting!
